In this video, Lydia Pecker, MD, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, discusses two important trials being conducted in pregnant patients with sickle cell disease (SCD): the TAPS-2 trial (NCT03975894) investigating transfusions for these patients, and the PIPSICKLE trial (PACTR202001787519553), which is looking into the use of aspirin to prevent intrauterine growth restriction and pre-eclampsia. This interview was recorded at the 18th Annual Scientific Conference on Sickle Cell and Thalassemia (ASCAT) 2023, held in London, UK.
