ASCAT 2023 | Current trials in pregnant patients with SCD

In this video, Lydia Pecker, MD, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, discusses two important trials being conducted in pregnant patients with sickle cell disease (SCD): the TAPS-2 trial (NCT03975894) investigating transfusions for these patients, and the PIPSICKLE trial (PACTR202001787519553), which is looking into the use of aspirin to prevent intrauterine growth restriction and pre-eclampsia.
