COMy 2023 | Controversies and perspectives on reaching and defining cure in myeloma

Xavier Leleu, MD, PhD, Poitiers University Hospital, Poitiers, France, shares some insights into a symposium that took place at COMy 2023, which focused on approaching a cure in multiple myeloma. Prof. Leleu speculates on the definition of cure in this disease, and discusses recent successes with the use of CAR-T cell therapy and bispecific antibodies (BsAbs). To conclude, Prof. Leleu suggests that, with further development, these existing immunotherapies could be candidates for curing myeloma in the coming years. This interview took place at the 9th World Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy) 2023, held in Paris, France.
