Saad Usmani, MD, MBA, FACP, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses the use of gene expression profiling in multiple myeloma. Gene expression profiling has been used to create a molecular classification of multiple myeloma. This technology can also be used as a prognostic tool to identify patients at a higher risk of relapse. As this technology is becoming cheaper, it can be used more widely in clinical practice. This interview took place at the Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (TCT) Meetings of ASTCT™ and CIBMTR® 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
