COSTEM 2023 | Chronic GvHD following alloSCT requires a complex multi-specialist pathway

In this video, Daniele Avenoso, MD, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses a real-world study conducted in the UK evaluating the burden of chronic graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in patients undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT). In this study, it was found that patients with chronic GvHD require assessments from various other specialists, including gastroenterologists and dermatologists, demonstrating the importance of multi-specialist pathways in the treatment and management of GvHD. This interview took place at The 8th Congress on Controversies in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (COSTEM 2023), held in Berlin, Germany.
