CAR-T Meeting 2022 | Delivering prehab and rehab services to patients treated with CAR-T therapy

Aimee Green, The Christie NHS Fund, Manchester, England, talks on the importance of prehab and rehab to optimize the health and wellbeing of patients treated with chimeric antigen T-cell (CAR-T) therapy. Ms Green explains that prior to receiving treatment, patients are often already exhausted physically, emotionally and nutritionally, and CAR-T therapy can cause further physical and mental detrimental effects. It is therefore essential to consider each patient’s priorities to deliver personalized prehab and rehab and ensure that these patients have access to allied health professionals who can offer these services during treatment. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 4th European CAR T-cell Meeting which was held virtually in 2022.
