Aimee Green, The Christie NHS Fund, Manchester, England, outlines the main differences between the services provided in prehab and rehab. Whilst prehab consists of preventing impairment from treatment, rehab consists of addressing any impairments caused by treatment. Both regimens aim to improve the patient’s quality of life (QoL). In patients treated with chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy, these regimens consist of restorative, supportive and palliative care depending on the patient’s outcome and wishes. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 4th European CAR T-cell Meeting which was held virtually in 2022.
