IMS 2026 | Phase I trial results: dual-targeting BCMA and GPRC5D CAR T-cell therapy in multiple myeloma

Doris Hansen, MD, Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL, discusses initial findings from the Phase I study (NCT06153251) of BMS-986453, an autologous dual-targeting BCMA and GPRC5D CAR T-cell therapy, in heavily pretreated relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. She highlights high response rates and MRD negativity in BCMA- and GPRC5D-naive patients, alongside manageable toxicity, and discusses the potential of simultaneous antigen targeting to improve the depth and durability of response. This interview took place at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK.
