Paul Richardson, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, discusses mechanistic differences between the anti-CD38 antibodies isatuximab and daratumumab and their potential clinical relevance in multiple myeloma. He highlights differences in complement-mediated and direct cytotoxic activity, as well as emerging evidence in 1q-amplified disease, while noting that clinical data remain mixed and further study is needed to define how these differences should influence treatment selection. This interview took place at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK.
