EHA 2026 | Next-generation CAR-T strategies aim to improve access and durability in myeloma

Binod Dhakal, MD, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI, discusses the evolving landscape of next-generation CAR-T strategies in multiple myeloma, including allogeneic products, dual-targeted CAR-T therapies, and novel cell engineering approaches. Dr Dhakal highlights the need to improve access, durability of response, and safety for patients with relapsed/refractory disease, and explains how off-the-shelf and rapidly manufactured CAR-T products may help overcome current logistical and treatment limitations. This interview took place at the 31st Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) in Stockholm, Sweden.
