Marginal zone lymphoma has really been a subtype of lymphoma with an unmet need. A lot of trials, unfortunately, exclude marginal zone lymphoma. So kudos to the investigators and the sponsor for doing a dedicated marginal zone lymphoma study, especially in the relapse setting, investigating CD19 CAR T-cell therapy with lisocabtagene maraleucel. So kudos to the investigators and the sponsor for doing a dedicated marginal zone lymphoma study, especially in the relapse setting, investigating CD19 CAR T-cell therapy with lisocabtagene maraleucel. So, the TRANSCEND study investigated patients who had relapsed/refractory marginal zone lymphoma after two or more prior lines of treatment, including chemoimmunotherapy, and they were administered lisocabtagene maraleucel. The net is that the overall response rate was exceptional, over 90% with a CR rate of 65%. And these are holding up. They are durable responses. The safety is highly manageable, especially with regards to cytokine release syndrome, as well as very minimal neurotoxicity. This is a step forward in the direction of improving outcomes for our patients with relapsed refractory marginal zone lymphoma.
