SOHO 2026 | Selecting between BCMA and GPRC5D-directed therapy in MM: challenges and considerations
Roberto Mina, MD, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Atlanta, GA, discusses the lack of robust predictive biomarkers to predict which patients with multiple myeloma (MM) will respond better to BCMA- or GPRC5D-directed therapies. Dr Mina notes that BCMA expression is generally high in treatment-naive patients, making pre-treatment testing less crucial, and highlights the importance of assessing not only expression but also mutations of these targets. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.
