ASH 2016 | Marginalized and high-risk multiple myeloma patients: how to address this issue

Joseph Mikhael

Joseph Mikhael, MD of the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ talks about the issue of access to treatment for marginalized and high-risk multiple myeloma (MM) patients at the 2016 American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting, held in San Diego, CA. Prof. Mikhael believes that it is important to be aware of the issue that some groups may be marginalized and make sure they have access to treatment. Further, we need to recognize that the myeloma community is a worldwide community and that experts should share their expertise.
