ASH 2021 | The importance of identifying and understanding high-risk multiple myeloma
Patrick Blaney, MS, Perlmutter Cancer Center, NYU Langone Health, New York, NY, shares some insights into high-risk multiple myeloma (MM), and the role that chromosomal translocations and abnormalities such as +1q and del 1p play in these cases. Mr Blaney highlights the importance of better understanding these high-risk patient populations, and how identifying these patients earlier on can improve survival outcomes.
