IMS 2026 | MajesTEC-3: teclistamab + daratumumab improves survival and disease control in R/R multiple myeloma
Luciano Costa, MD, PhD, UAB School of Medicine, Birmingham, AL, discusses a post hoc analysis of the MajesTEC-3 trial (NCT05083169) evaluating overall survival, progression and non-relapse mortality with teclistamab plus daratumumab versus daratumumab-based triplets in relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma. He highlights a 90% reduction in the risk of progression with teclistamab plus daratumumab, alongside similar rates of non-relapse mortality between treatment groups, and discusses how improved disease control contributed to the overall survival benefit despite early infection-related deaths. This interview took place at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK.
