Immune Thrombocytopenia Non-Malignant Vaccines

Hanny Al-Samkari, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, comments on the safety of COVID-19 vaccination in patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Despite concerns that these vaccines could exacerbate ITP, currently available data indicates that the vaccine is safe for most patients with ITP. This interview took place at the 30th Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) 2022 held in London, UK.
