ICML 2017 | Using models to predict progression in follicular lymphoma

Sarah Huet, PharmD, PhD from the Centre Hospitalier Lyon-Sud, Pierre- Bénite, France discusses the development of novel models to predict disease progression in follicular lymphoma at the International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma (ICML) 2017 held in Lugano, Switzerland. During the meeting, Dr Huet presented on the models created from gene-expression profiling of homogeneously treated follicular lymphoma patients, who had taken part in the PRIMA study (NCT00140582). Using this information, a numeric score was derived which predicted the risk of disease progression in patients. This model was successfully validated in a number of patient cohorts.
