Josh Wright, BMedSci (Hons), MBChB, FRCPath, MD, BSH president, shares some highlights from BSH 2022. Dr Wright first discusses a patient presentation on sickle cell disease (SCD), and then draws focus on how well the medical community has collaborated and communicated throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to provide patients with the best possible care. Dr Wright then highlights a presentation which was held by Dr Sean Lim on immunity and vaccine responses, which again highlighted the importance of the collaboration and hard work that went into the pandemic. This interview took place at the 62nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society for Haematology (BSH) 2022, in Manchester, UK.
