Shawn Lee, MD, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, talks on the disparities in outcomes for patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) between different countries and races. Dr Lee explains that such gaps may be down to social economic status as well as biology; however, more research is needed to address these gaps. This interview took place during the ninth annual meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2021) congress.
