Claudio Cerchione, MD, PhD, Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST) IRCCS, Meldola, Italy, discusses the use of advanced diagnostic exams to improve the diagnosis of plasma cell dyscrasias. These diagnostic methods include PET/CT imaging and whole-body MRI, next-generation multiparameter flow cytometry, in addition to classical biochemical exams.
