Claudio Cerchione, MD, PhD, Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST) IRCCS, Meldola, Italy, discusses advances in the treatment of multiple myeloma. Dr Cerchione highlights the growing role of quadruplet regimens, including findings from PERSEUS (NCT03710603), IMROZ (NCT03319667), and CEPHEUS (NCT03652064), and the potential of sustained measurable residual disease (MRD) negativity to guide treatment discontinuation. He also explores emerging CAR T-cell therapies and bispecific antibodies, and belantamab mafodotin-based combinations following the DREAMM-7 (NCT04246047) and DREAMM-8 (NCT04484623) trials. This interview took place at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK.
