CAR-T Meeting 2022 | An update on the EBMT Patient Registry & GoCART

Christian Chabannon, MD, PhD, Institut Paoli Calmettes, Marseille, France, gives an update on the current status, challenges and projects of the EBMT Patient registry. The Registry is currently collecting data on approximately 3,000 patients treated with chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy. Prof. Chabannon explains that it is difficult to fulfill the needs of all stakeholders and meet global data protection regulations. Moving forward, Prof. Chabannon also discusses what the data is used for and comments on GoCART, a multi-stakeholder coalition whose aim is to increase collaboration to maximize the potential of CAR-T therapy. To achieve this, GoCART members are working on several projects which include developing a harmonized process for the revision of the EBMT cellular therapies data collection form, and funding research projects on CAR-T therapy in clinical practice. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 4th European CAR T-cell Meeting which was held virtually in 2022.
