IMS 2026 | Prophylactic cyclophosphamide for delayed neurotoxicity after cilta-cel in multiple myeloma

Yi Lin, MD, PhD, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses prophylactic cyclophosphamide for patients with multiple myeloma at increased risk of delayed neurotoxicity following ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel) therapy. She highlights findings showing no reduction in the incidence of Parkinsonism among patients with high lymphocyte expansion, but suggests that symptoms may be less severe with cyclophosphamide prophylaxis. This interview took place at the 23rd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Glasgow, UK.
