SOHO 2026 | CARES Phase III clinical program of anselamimab in newly diagnosed AL amyloidosis
Giada Bianchi, MD, Brigham and Women’s Hospital & Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, discusses key findings from the Phase III CARES studies (NCT04512235; NCT04504825) of anselamimab in newly diagnosed light chain (AL) amyloidosis. She highlights that while the overall trial did not meet its primary endpoint of all-cause mortality (ACM) and cardiovascular hospitalizations (CVH), anselamimab was associated with a strong all-cause mortality benefit and fewer cardiac-related hospitalizations in patients with kappa light chain amyloidosis. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.
