Giada Bianchi, MD, Brigham and Women’s Hospital & Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, discusses how amyloid-targeting therapies could be integrated with plasma cell-directed treatment in light chain (AL) amyloidosis. She highlights the potential importance of starting amyloid-removing therapy early to prevent irreversible organ damage, while emphasizing that these approaches should be viewed as complementary rather than sequential, as suppression of the underlying light chain production remains essential. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.
