EHA 2026 | Preserving kidney function in myeloma: impact of melflufen therapy
In this video, Fredrik Schjesvold, MD, PhD, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway, discusses the importance of preserving kidney function in myeloma management and distinguishing myeloma-related renal impairment from other causes. Dr Schjesvold highlights results from an analysis showing that melflufen does not impair renal function, while the pomalidomide, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (PRd) combination can be used at standard doses in patients with renal impairment. This interview took place at the 31st Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) in Stockholm, Sweden.
