ASCO 2026 | Initial results from a Phase Ib/II trial of purinostat mesylate plus POM and DEX in R/R myeloma

Lijuan Chen, MD, PhD, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, presents findings from a Phase Ib/II trial evaluating purinostat mesylate (PM), a highly selective HDAC inhibitor, in combination with pomalidomide and low-dose dexamethasone for relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM). Prof. Chen notes that this triplet therapy demonstrated encouraging efficacy and safety in this patient population. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
