Peihua Lu, MD, Lu Daopei Hospital, Langfang, China and Lu Daopei Institute of Hematology, Beijing, China, gives an overview of the latest advances in chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy for patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), in particular highlighting research into universal CARs which could help to reduce the cost of CAR-T therapy, and novel combinations of CAR-T. This interview took place at the virtual European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress 2021.
