iwAL 2026 | KOMET-007 trial results: ziftomenib combinations in NPM1-mutated and KMT2A-rearranged AML
Amir Fathi, MD, MPH, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, discusses findings from the KOMET-007 study (NCT05735184) evaluating ziftomenib in combination with intensive chemotherapy or azacitidine and venetoclax in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). He highlights high remission rates in NPM1-mutated and KMT2A-rearranged AML, as well as promising results with azacitidine and venetoclax in patients ineligible for intensive induction. This interview took place at the 8th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL 2026), held in Boston, MA.
