SOHO 2026 | Sequential versus combination BR-BTKi therapy in MCL: which patients may benefit most

Yucai Wang, MD, PhD, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses sequential first-line bendamustine-rituximab (BR) followed by second-line BTK inhibitor therapy in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), suggesting it may achieve progression-free survival rates similar to upfront BR-BTKi combination therapy. He notes that a sequential approach may be reasonable for low-risk patients, while upfront combination therapy may better suit those with high-risk features. This interview took place at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO 2026) in Houston, TX.
