SITC 2021 | Exploring the tumor microenvironment with single-cell approaches

Debattama Sen, PhD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, discusses how single-cell approaches can be used to improve our understanding of the tumor microenvironment. These technologies can help identify the cell types present in the tumor microenvironment and show how they vary across different tumor types and in the context of different treatment modalities. This will allow identifying both common and patient-specific features of the tumor microenvironment that will enable moving closer to personalized medicine. This interview took place during the 36th Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
