ASH 2022 | Using whole genome sequencing to track early events in multiple myeloma

Francesco Maura, MD, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami, Miami, FL, discusses a study which used whole genome sequencing (WGS) to investigate early driver events that may be linked to the development of multiple myeloma. This model incorporated molecular time data and structural variants to identify these early events, and highlighted the complex mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of this disease. This interview took place at the 64th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition congress held in New Orleans, LA.
