Optimal dose, duration and de-escalation of venetoclax in AML

Stéphane De Botton, MD, PhD, Gustave Roussy Institute, Paris, France, presents the evidence for de-escalating venetoclax duration and optimizing dosing in venetoclax-azacitidine regimens for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr de Botton explains that hypomethylating agent (HMA) plus venetoclax regimens should be optimized for each patient, considering the evidence in older and unfit patients, genomic profile, and the potential addition of targeted therapies. This presentation took place at the 8th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL) in Cambridge, MA.
