Peter Hillmen, MD, PhD, from the University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, discusses the current trials on chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) that are taking place in the UK, including the Phase II Bloodwise TAP trials. He notes that one exciting drug combination for CLL treatment is ibrutinib and venetoclax, which is now undergoing a large Phase III trial that is the largest trial ever conducted for CLL.
