Jose F. Camargo, MD, University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL, disucsses the clinical presentation and outcomes of SARS-CoV2 infection in patients who have undergone hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). The results of this single center retrospective cohort study indicates that COVID-19 HCT patients had higher mortality than age-matched general population, and that severity and mortality varied by age rather than transplant type or COVID-19 therapy. This interview took place during the Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (TCT) 2021 Meetings.
