Jana Pelouchová, Diagnoza leukemie, Prague, Czech Republic, comments on the space of patient advocacy organizations in Czech Republic. Although the awareness of patient organizations amongst the general public is still not satisfactory, the new healthcare legislation in place since January 2022 has better defined the position and importance of patient organizations in the country, thus making a big step towards improved patients’ rights within the healthcare system. This interview took place at the 48th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) 2022, which was held virtually.
