Eric Solary, MD, Gustave Roussy Institute, Paris, France, comments on the need to identify new therapeutic strategies to treat chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML), explaining that instead of eradicating leukemic stem cells, it might be beneficial to target the inflammatory component of CMML to slow progression of the disease and improve quality of life (QoL). This interview took place at the 17th International Congress on Myelodysplastic Syndromes 2023 (MDS 2023) held in Marseille, France.
