BSH 2023 | Highlights at BSH 2023: addressing difficult scenarios in MPNs

Claire Harrison, MD, FRCP, FRCPath, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, gives an overview of topics that were addressed in a Meet the Experts session held at this year’s BSH meeting, which focused on difficult scenarios in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Topics that were covered in this session included how to manage patients who have a borderline high platelet count with no driver mutation, and how to approach patients with high hemoglobin. Other topics discussed were how to manage patients with venous and arterial events and how to treat patients during pregnancy. This interview took place at the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society for Haematology (BSH) 2023, held in Birmingham, UK.
