I think for young physicians, social media might play a very important role in promoting their own career because they get connected to people who are not available in their country or even in their region, and they they might have work or training positions through social media.
So I got my first training position back in 2010 through a social media website. So one of my colleagues have posted that there’s a residency position at the University and I said yes, I was eligible to apply, I applied, I got the job like in one week, that was very exciting.
Also, through the EBMT, they are very supportive to young physicians, they have the young ambassador initiative, last year I applied, I got accepted, I got connected to many people here like Dr Mohty, Dr Navneet Majhail, and through that, I got an invitation to present my own experience this year through the social media session, as a representative of the young physician generations, to tell them how social media affects my career development.
