COMy 2022 | A comparison of imaging techniques in multiple myeloma

In this video, Elena Zamagni, MD, PhD, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, compares two techniques routinely used for imaging patients with multiple myeloma: PET-CT and MRI. Dr Zamagni notes the prognostic role of both techniques prior to and after therapy, and that currently MRI seems more sensitive; however, this higher sensitivity might not translate into clinical significance when used post-therapy. A prospective comparison of the two techniques is currently ongoing. This interview took place at the 8th World Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy) 2022, held in Paris, France.
