ASH 2016 | The work of ERIC on certifying diagnostic laboratories and patient empowerment in CLL

Kostas Stamatopoulos, MD, PhD of The Centre for Research & Technology, Hellas, Greece talks about the work of the European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC). Dr Stamatopoulos explains that they have recently completed a new certification process to ensure patients receive the best possible care in terms of diagnostics; they have certified a large number of diagnostic laboratories for immunoglobulin gene analysis. ERIC is also active in patient empowerment and they participated in the first CLL Advocates Network meeting.
