In this video, Vaishali Sanchorawala, MD, Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA, discusses factors which impact the accuracy of amyloidosis identification, including false positives from Congo Red (CR) staining and pyrophosphate scintigraphy scans. Prof. Sanchorawala also explains how achieving a hematologic response and a cardiac response may impact the overall survival (OS) of patients with advanced cardiac light chain (AL) amyloidosis.
