EBMT 2023 | Outcomes following haploidentical & cord blood transplantation in pediatric patients with AML

Antonio Perez-Martinez, MD, PhD, La Paz University Hospital, Madrid, Spain, comments on the outcomes of pediatric patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who have undergone haploidentical and cord blood transplantation. Dr Perez-Martinez explains that both of these procedures lead to similar outcomes and the expertise of each individual center should be considered when selecting between haploidentical and cord blood transplantation. This interview took place at the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) held in Paris, France.
