Joseph Mikhael, MD of the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ talks about the benefits of social media for research institutes. Prof. Mikhael explains that often branches within institutions, such as clinical trial offices, have their own Twitter handles. This allows them to reach out to individuals and build a network that they can inform about clinical trials. Prof. Mikhael highlights the work of his own institution as an example.
