Shireen Kassam, MD, PhD, DipIBLM, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK , provides an overview of a session which took place at BSH 2023 regarding the integration of lifestyle medicine into hematology practice for both patients and medical staff. Dr Kassam explains that, although lifestyle medicine is a rapidly growing field globally, it is not being readily implemented in hematology practices. Dr Kassam further notes topics which were addressed in the session, including healthy lifestyle practices, the use of dietary approaches to modify outcomes in multiple myeloma, and physician burnout. This interview took place at the 63rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Society for Haematology (BSH) 2023, held in Birmingham, UK.
