Patient engagement was a common theme at this year’s Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). In this video, Hélène Schoemans, MD, University of Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, discusses the involvement of patient advocacy groups during the patient, family and donor day of EBMT. Finally, Dr Schoemans touches on how unified approaches can aid advances in science. This interview took place during the 47th Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) 2021.
