Heinz Ludwig, MD, Wilhelminen Cancer Research Institute, Vienna, Austria, discusses the importance of assessing immune function in multiple myeloma, commenting on recent advances made in technologies used to evaluate the immune system in this disease. Prof. Ludwig also shares insights into the value of single-cell analysis and how this may be used to study clonal evolution in multiple myeloma. This interview took place at the 20th International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting, held in Athens, Greece.
