Ghayas Issa, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, explains what community physicians should know regarding genomic testing in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr Issa highlights that interrogating the genomic composition of the disease could inform how approved targeted therapies, and agents in clinical trials, might impact patient outcomes.
