Guillermo Sanz, MD, PhD, Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe, Valencia, Spain, outlines the goals of HARMONY and HARMONY PLUS, two public-private partnerships aimed at developing and optimizing treatment strategies for patients with hematological malignancies by utilizing centralized databases. Prof. Sanz highlights how combining real world and clinical trial data can help find additional predicative biomarkers, assist regulatory authorities in the approval of therapies, and further develop novel therapeutics.
