Ulrich Jäger, MD, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria, briefly discusses the importance of lymphodepletion and his belief that it is often an undervalued component of the CAR T-cell therapy cycle. Lymphodepletion prepares the body to enhance subsequent CAR T-cell expansion. However, to date, it has been insufficiently studied and optimized. This interview took place at the EBMT-EHA 6th European CAR T-cell Meeting in Valencia, Spain.
