Eli Muchtar, MD, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, comments on the incidence and impact of hypovitaminosis D in patients with renal AL amyloidosis. Dr Muchtar explains that hypovitaminosis D is very frequent in this patient population, especially in patients with proteinuria. However, the impact of this deficiency remains unclear. This interview took place at the 2022 International Symposium on Amyloidosis (ISA) held in Heidelberg, Germany.
